7 months old

.... how time flies-My sweet Barrett is already 7 months old!! We are having lots of fun and can't wait until summer so we can be together everyday and watch this little boy grow! He is learning lots of new tricks and developing quite a personality. Laughter... Barrett is such a happy baby. He fills out hearts with joy and makes us laugh just as much as we make him laugh. He loves his big brother and Brooks does a good job of being silly and making Barrett laugh all the time. It is so fun to watch them together and see the bond that they are creating!! Kisses... Barrett has started to give lots of kisses.....Nothing better than mouth wide open slobber kisses - they are the BEST!! Talk, talk, talk... of course all he says is da, da, da, da- it sure makes his daddy proud but he is a mommas boy!! Barrett talks all the time and makes lots of sounds - Brooks is so good at making out the words he is saying and relaying them to me.... Yummy to my Tummy.... Barrett loves his fruits and veggies. He eats fruit and oatmeal for lunch and veggies and oatmeal for supper. He thinks he is so big and tries to feed himself with the spoon! He has started to drink some flavored water and juice out of a sippie cup. I put some in a bottle the other day and Brooks could not believe that he could hold it on his own. Brooks of course had to help and was so proud of himself for "feeding" Barrett because he does not drink out of a bottle much at home. Toys... He loves to play with any and everything that he can grab and put in his mouth.... my hair, sunglasses, Brook's trio blocks, Sophie's bow, water bottles, the wipes box, etc.... Barrett still loves to jump in his exersaucer and has started playing with blocks and balls, and Brooks is trying to teach him to play baseball with his little tee. Teeth... We are working on those teeth. We should start getting a few real soon!! Barrett drools all the time and chews on everything.... it makes his gums feel better! On the Go... Barrett has become quite good at sitting up on his own and going from laying on his tummy to sitting straight up all by himself. He has started pushing up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth. Barrett also gets on his tummy and pulls his way across the floor to get something he wants. Night, Night... Our night time is getting better!! The last couple of nights, Barrett has gone to bed at 8:30 and slept in his own bed until 2:30. He has eaten at 2:30 and then gone back to his bed until 5:00. We are making progress!
