Let the Games Begin...

or maybe 4..... Brooks is playing coach pitch this year and his team is the Rattlers. He is having so much fun and loving every minute!!
Game 1: March 26
Pawpaw came and cheered him on. Brooks played in the outfield and got three hits, his first one was a home run!! Momma had to yell several times to pay attention because the dirt in the outfield was too much fun:) Paying attention???? What is that? (especially to a 5 year old boy) I was so proud of him and won't be the mom that constantly yells again. Game 2: April 1
Brooks has watched Sandlot too many times because before his game he told Boo that he was going to hit the "guts out of the ball." He sure did.. his first at bat was a Grand Slam... he hit it into the outfield with bases loaded and scored! Brooks played 3rd base and got 3 hits:)
Game 3: April 2
Daddy finally got to come..... he got back just in time from his game to watch. Brandon is so calm and patient and is so much better than this baseball mom. Brooks had a cheering section.... Barrett, Boo, Pawpaw, Daddy and myself. He played 3rd base and got 3 hits - he did great!!Game 4: April 9
We love the west Texas dirt.... the wind blew about 40 mph but that did not stop my little baseball player. Brooks was a little tired before the game. We had a garage sale Saturday morning and then drove back to Lubbock in time for the game. Brooks rode with Pawpaw and fell asleep about 30 minutes from Lubbock so it took him a little bit to wake up. He played catcher and that woke him up... no sleeping on that job! Brooks got 3 hits again and they all were hit to the outfield. Way to go!!We are so proud of our little Rattler, Brooks!!
