ready...set...robersons: Great Surprise

Since the ECU football schedule first came out, we have patiently been waiting for the ECU vs. Rice game in Houston. We have been planning this trip for quite some time and decided that we were going to surprise Brooks. He had no idea what he was in for!!! Surprise 1: Cait flew in one hour before us so when we got off the plane and headed to the baggage claim she was there waiting for us. Brooks saw her and ran with open arms and gave her a big squeeze hug and stayed by her side for the rest of the night. Barrett just smiled and smiled at Cait. They were so excited to be with their Cait Cait. Surprise 2: Friday morning we headed to the Galleria to do a little shopping.... thank you Pawpaw for being such a trooper and hanging out with Barrett. Brooks really wanted to ice skate but instead got to jump on the "bungee trampoline." He thought that was the coolest thing ever!

We headed back to the hotel that afternoon just in time for three huge white buses to pull up. The doors opened and guess who was the first one to step off......Linc!! Brooks ran over Ruffin and jumped in Linc's arms and they were inseparable the rest of the trip. Brooks hung out with Linc in his room and ate ice cream with the players.

Surprise 3: Saturday morning we got all of our Pirate gear on and went down to the lobby to meet Cait and Linc. Brooks rode up and down the escalator five million times patiently waiting for Linc to get out of his team meeting. As the players started coming down the escalator, Brooks waited at the bottom and gave every single one of them high five as they walked out and loaded the buses. He hugged Ruff and gave him the "No Quarter" sign.

At this point Brooks still did not know that he was going to the football game. We left the hotel and went to La Madeline to eat breakfast. On our way, we passed the stadium and Brooks saw the ECU equipment bus and figured out that he was going to go to the ECU football game.... he was ecstatic. He had so much fun at the game..... he stayed on the field with Linc during pre-game, went to the dressing rooms, made signs and held up the "No Quarter" flag in the fourth quarter.
